Today we pray for peace and justice among all our sisters and brothers. We pray to learn how to become instruments of peace and justice for others and ourselves.

We pray on behalf of those who have sought justice on behalf of others during their lifetimes. It is up to us to continue their message in the world. We pray also for those who, living among us today, have no voice or whose voice is so weak that it can scarcely be heard among the powerful. It is for them that we now bring our prayers before God.

Compassionate God, we have reached out to you today on behalf of many whom we know are in need of peace and justice in their lives. We ask that you bring some comfort to them and to all with such needs in our world today. For this we give thanks and praise.
