GATHERING SONG
Leader		Lord, we prepare the way for your arrival into our lives. Help us to make the crooked ways in our lives straight again. We know that if we are sorry and are willing to change our ways, you will forgive us. We ask this in the name of Jesus.

PETITIONS
Leader		Loving God, we ask forgiveness for all that we do that takes us away from you. Sure of your love for us, we now sincerely ask forgiveness for when we have done wrong.
All		Forgive us, Lord.
Leader		Lord, we try to worship you each week at Mass, but sometimes we forget to see you in all our brothers and sisters.
All		Forgive us, Lord.
Leader		Lord, sometimes we make fun of those around us who are different.
All		Forgive us, Lord.
Leader		Lord, sometimes we expect too much of others and are not very patient with them.
All		Forgive us, Lord.
CLOSING PRAYER
Leader		Lord, you have created us out of love, and you want us to share this love with others. Forgive us for the times we have not loved others completely. Pardon our unkind words, our impatience, our selfishness. Take all anger from our hearts and turn us into loving people. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
