Leader		God made Sunday special. He made it to be a holy day. It is a day for us to rest and spend time with our families.
All		In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
READING (based on Genesis 1:1-2:3)
Leader		Listen, now, to a story from the Bible. "A very long time ago, God made the sun to brighten the day, the moon to glow in the night, and the stars and clouds to fill the sky. Then God made the whole wonderful earth. Lastly, God made animals and people. God looked at everything and saw that it was very good. So, God rested on the seventh day from all the work he had done. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy."
RESPONSE
Leader		Each week God gives us a special day to rest from work.
All		Thank you, God, for giving us Sunday. (Children fold hands and put next to side of tilted face, resting.)
Leader		Each week God gives us a special day to pray with others at Mass.
