READING
(based on Mark 16:1-7)

Leader image Listen to a reading from the Gospel of Mark in the Bible.
"Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James brought spices to anoint the body of Jesus. At sunrise on the first day of the week they came to Jesus' tomb. They wondered how they would anoint Jesus' body if they could not move the stone closing the tomb. When they saw his tomb, the large stone was already rolled away. A young man in white was sitting by the tomb. He said, 'Do not be amazed! Jesus has been raised. He is not here. Go and tell his followers. You will see him as he told you.' "
