In connection with Chapter 19, refer students to Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 25:31-46. This account of the Final Judgment expresses concern about how a person has acted or failed to act on some of the corporal works of mercy. Create a chart such as the following. Have students offer examples of what they have recently witnessed that fit into the positive or negative column relating to each of the issues presented in Matthew.
