Problems between people can cause or hurt or upset feelings. Note that people who cause problems often hurt as much as the people whose feelings they have hurt. Part of Christian living involves being able to solve problems. Put these problem solving steps on the chalkboard: 1. Stop and think. 2. State the problem. 3. Choose a goal. 4. Think of possible solutions. 5. Think of possible results. 6. Try a solution.
Next, suggest a hypothetical problem, or identify a real problem that happened at school recently. With your class, go through each step. Students may be willing to suggest additional problems that can be thought through. Keep the list handy for future reference.
