Focus on the fruits of the Holy Spirit as good habits. List them on the chalkboard as: loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, gentle, kind, having self-control. Have a volunteer select one good habit and give an example of it; e.g., "I can be joyful playing a board game with my friend." After children have been given an example for each good habit, ask them to each choose one good habit to try to carry out during the coming week. If time provides, have children draw pictures of what they intend to do during that time. Save the pictures and check with them the following week to see how successful they were. If some were not successful, note that practice is what makes something become a habit. Have them try again for the future.
