"We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose."

–Romans 8:28

The celebration of the Mass, which the Church also calls the Eucharist, is the greatest act of worship and praise the Church offers God through its liturgy. Eucharist is a Greek word meaning "thanksgiving" or "to give thanks." The Mass is by its nature public and communal. It is the work of the whole Church and is not be to approached as a private devotion.

The Church includes many liturgies and rites that help enrich the lives of its members. Some continue with regularity such as the ritual of receiving ashes on Ash Wednesday. Others are practiced to a greater or lesser degree depending upon the local diocese, such as the practice of Eucharistic Adoration.

Find out more about the Church’s rites and rituals. Books such as the following will help you.
