The Gift of Music
Liturgical music speaks to everyone and unites us in our praise of God. Extend the inclusion of music to other times as well, during class and recreational experiences. Throughout the year find ways to engage young people in music, including instrumental music as well as vocal.

Play music while the young people work on other activities.

Invite young people to suggest songs to sing.
•
Work together to set Scripture verses, faith statements, or prayers to popular tunes.
•
Host a songfest and invite other groups of young people to gather and share songs.
•
Sing songs from Psalms and compare them to the actual text.
