Mary in the Spring

People everywhere honor Mary, whose life in all its joy and sorrow was given to God. Throughout her life, Mary remained one with God. All people are drawn to Mary. They see her as one who knows the great joy of being the Mother of God. The words of the Magnificat express the happiness of all who have found God.
People of all races and nations honor Mary and pray that they may be like her one with God in both sorrow and joy. To Catholics in Japan, Mary looks Japanese; in Africa and the Caribbean islands, she looks African; in Europe, she looks European. So it is with people everywhere. These images encourage worship to Jesus and give honor to his mother, Mary.
