Lord, you call us to confirm our membership in the Catholic Church and to openly profess our faith in you. We ask for your help as we try to live out that commitment to you. We pray this through your Holy Spirit.

Send your Holy Spirit upon us
to be our Helper and Guide.
Give us the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of right judgment and courage,
the spirit of knowledge and reverence.
Fill us with the spirit of wonder and awe in your presence.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
