Easter, the feast of Christ’s Resurrection, is the central celebration of the Christian liturgical year. The Resurrection is the foundation of our faith, hope, and courage. Through Jesus’ Resurrection, we too will rise from the dead one day, both body and soul. These prayer celebrations will help participants share prayer during this holy season.

"Renewing Our Faith" Prayer Celebration Notes

Focus		Renewing our faith by assenting to the creed
Materials Needed		Prayer table, Bible, candle, music, liturgy
Reading		1 Peter 1:3–5
Music		"Alleluia," Blest Are We Music CD 4; "Jesus is Risen," Barbara Bridge (OCP Publications)
Preparation		Read and discuss the Apostles’ Creed with your group to prepare them to renew their faith during the prayer celebration. Print out and photocopy the liturgy, "Renewing Our Faith." Select a reader for Scripture for the parts of the creed. Prepare your role as leader.
Adaptation		Invite participants to create a banner for the Creed to display, and challenge them to review and follow the Creed each day.
