The Gospels also tell us about the empty tomb. The good news of Jesus’ Resurrection is not only that he overcame death, but that, with him, we too will rise from death to new life. Mark’s Gospel reminds the disciples and us that this new life of faith won’t always be an easy one. Christians must follow Jesus by trusting God and being ready to suffer as he did.
