Work with participants to create epitaphs for one of the prophets, such as Elijah, Hosea, Micah, or Isaiah. Explain that an epitaph is a tribute to someone who has died, written in prose or poetry and on the persons tombstone. Also discuss the role of the prophets as discussed in this unit. Distribute gray construction paper, scissors, and markers. Have participants cut tombstone shapes, then write on the shape an epitaph for the prophet each has chosen. Afterwards, share tributes.
