To help children get to know one another better, sit in a circle together. [If this is a first gathering, you might have them wear nametags.] Starting with yourself, say the name you wish to be addressed as and then something you like, e.g., peach ice cream. Have the child next to you do the same, and so on. If many children like the same thin, mention it and have them volunteer why they like that. You can alter the topic to best suit your group.
