Discuss the Eucharist as "gift." Talk about gifts children receive. Point out the importance of expressing thanks for gifts. Have children think of people who have gifted them in some way, either with material gifts or by doing something special for them. Guide them through a "thank you" writing session. A thank-you note should acknowledge the gift, note the effort put forth by the giver, and suggest how one might use the gift in the future. Encourage children to decorate their thank-you notes and send them to the gift givers.
