Select a song to sing with the children. If you choose "We Gather Together," you will have the music readily available. Plan together to create gestures to include while singing the song. For example, try these movement suggestions:

On gather: Hold arms out wide and draw them together.
•
On Jesus: Using right middle finger, touch left palm. Using left middle finger, touch right palm.
•
On parent to child: Raise right hand high above head and bring down low toward floor.
•
On welcome: Hold right hand out and shake as in a handshake.
•
On life: Hold both hands in front of chest, thumbs up, index fingers touching, and other fingers closed in the palm. Raise hands until they are even with throat.
•
On world: Hold hands in front of chest with outside knuckles touching. Separate hands opening arms wide out to sides.
