Grade Level Activity & Answer Key Feasts & Seasons Grade Level Resources

The four weeks of Advent focus us on the upcoming celebration of Jesus birth in Bethlehem. At the same time, we anticipate with joy the day when Jesus Christ will return to earth in glory.
Our waiting, watching, and welcoming are signs of our belief that Jesus has come as the Messiah, that he continues to be with us each day, and that he will fulfill the kingdom of God on earth when he returns in glory.
We live simultaneously with his presence and his absence, believing that in the fullness of time, God will again send his Son.
Jesus tells us that only God the Father knows when the Son will return in glory. We believe that on that day the world will be completely recreated and renewed with the justice and peace of God. This hope gives us the courage to pray, "Come, Lord Jesus." And while we wait, we watch for his coming into our daily lives as we prepare to welcome him anew on Christmas Day.
